SPC flooring, short for Stone Plastic Composite or Stone Polymer Composite, is a limestone core combined with PVC dust and a stabilizer. As a result, it's denser due to the core being 60-70% limestone with a 30% PVC core fused. Often referred to as the rigid core, SPC is 10X more impact resistant than WPC. SPC features a unique rigid structure that is more stable than the traditional vinyl tiles. The most unique part is the rigid core layer that is mostly made of lime powder. This stone plastic composite is resistant to expansion and contraction for decades. You can get a remarkably dimensionally stable yet beautiful floor for years.
